About this Site
The Site is operated by Appraise Wise Consulting Group ("Appraise Wise," "we," "us"), a residential appraisal practice based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Information on this Site is not an appraisal
The content of this Site is provided for general information only. Nothing on the Site constitutes an appraisal, an opinion of value, professional advice, or a recommendation on which any person should rely.
Descriptions of our services, including explanations of valuation types, tax treatment, legal proceedings, or estate administration, are general in nature. They are not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice, and should not be relied on in place of advice from a qualified professional retained on your matter.
An appraisal is provided only under a written engagement, and only to the intended user or users named in the resulting report.
Submitting an order or enquiry
Submitting the order form or contacting us through the Site does not create an engagement, a professional relationship, or any obligation on our part to accept an assignment.
An engagement begins only when scope, fee, effective date, and intended use have been confirmed in writing between you and Appraise Wise. The terms governing that engagement are set out in the engagement documentation, which prevails over anything on this Site.
You agree that information you submit through the Site is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Where an assignment proceeds on inaccurate information, the conclusions may be affected.
Appraisal reports
Any appraisal report we produce is prepared for a stated purpose, as of a stated effective date, and for a named intended user. It may not be relied on by any other party, or used for any other purpose, without our written consent.
Reports are prepared in accordance with the Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (CUSPAP).
Acceptable use
You may view, download, and print material from the Site for your own use. You may not:
- Reproduce, republish, or distribute Site content commercially without our written permission
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site or any system connected to it
- Interfere with the operation of the Site, or use automated means to scrape or harvest its content
- Submit false information, or submit information on behalf of another person without authority
Intellectual property
The content of the Site — including text, layout, graphics, photographs, and the Appraise Wise name and logo — is owned by or licensed to Appraise Wise and protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. Nothing on the Site grants any licence or right of use except as expressly stated.
Third-party links and services

We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or handling of your information. Use of them is subject to their own terms.
Availability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here affects the terms governing any appraisal engagement, which are set out separately.
